Activistas rechazan sentencia en Caso Satya

Como retrógrada y sin fundamentos calificó Manuel Acosta, activista GLBTI, a la sentencia que falló en contra del Caso Satya negándole la doble maternidad a la niña.

“Quiero manifestar mi rechazo total, creo que sigue siendo un completo error de la justicia porque existe la imposición de un criterio absurdo”, opina.

Hoy martes en la mañana, el Juez Vicente Altamirano notificó a las partes sobre su decisión de impedir que Nicola Rothon y Helen Bicknell inscriban a su hija Satya con el apellido de ambas. Karen Barba, directora del grupo Causana, cree que la iglesia persiste todavía en la toma de decisiones que son de índole jurídico.

Resaltó que existen aspectos importantes en la sentencia que se deben revisar. El primero se relaciona con la indefensión de Satya; “y también persiste el tema sobre la discriminación de las mujeres lesbianas”. Acosta agrega que existe influencia de grupos políticos de derecha y religiosos que inciden en las decisiones de algunos poderes fácticos.

Diane Rodríguez, presidente de Silueta X, recalca que nuevamente la Constitución no está siendo tomada en cuenta. Cree que el respeto de los derechos humanos en el país aún no son prioridad y esta decisión es un ejemplo de ello. Considera que habían algunos avances en el tema de derechos para la comunidad GLBTI pero que la decisión del juez significó un retroceso.“Nuevamente estamos caminando hacia atrás”.

La abogada de la Defensoría del Pueblo, Carla Patiño, dijo que apelarán la decisión del Juez Altamirano. Barba, de Causana, dijo que mañana en la mañana (aún no tienen hora fija) darán una rueda de prensa para informar sobre las acciones que se tomarán en este caso.
