El conflicto entre el cuerpo y la mente

De no haber sido por el ADN, en la actualidad ser un transexual todavía estaría considerado como una moda, una opción, o simplemente un estilo de vida o en casos de intolerancia extrema como una enfermedad, una locura o una maldición gitana.

Descubrir recién ahora, en pleno siglo XXI que el enfrentamiento que existe entre el sexo del cerebro y el sexo biológico, tiene su origen en un gen que regula los receptores androgénicos, nos demuestra que la sexualidad humana por milenios ha estado llena de mitos, tabúes e intolerancias sin más asidero que la ignorancia.

Ser transexual, ser aparentemente hombre o mujer y sentirse sexualmente diferente, significa vivir en conflicto permanente no sólo con su identidad sexual sino también con una sociedad cuadrada que divide a la humanidad en dos géneros: femenino y masculino.

Ya en el año 1976, la tenista Renée Richards, se convirtió en el transexual más famoso del deporte, cuando los organizadores del US Open le prohibieron participar en la gran final de tenis argumentando que había nacido hombre y no podía competir como mujer. En una de sus últimas entrevistas Renée cuenta que se «encaprichó» en participar y demandó a los organizadores ante el Tribunal Supremo de New York porque «me veía como mujer, me sentía mujer, entonces por qué me prohibían competir como mujer», Renée ganó el juicio y sentó precedentes legales en el tema de la transexualidad.

Un transexual famoso por su espectacular belleza fue Roberta Close, quien durante casi diez años peleó porque se legalizara su cambio de nombre y de género, tuvo que aguantar que un recalcitrante y reaccionario juez le negara su petición aduciendo «que luego de los exámenes médicos realizados al solicitante hemos llegado a la conclusión de que es un hombre». Roberta no se resignó y en el 2005, el Noveno Tribunal de Familia de Río de Janeiro, en una decisión histórica, no solo para Brasil, sino también para el mundo, reconoció a Roberta Close como una mujer porque «la ley debe mantenerse al día con los avances científicos».

Chastity Bono, se convirtió en el dolor de cabeza de su no menos polémica madre, la cantante Cher, quien siempre creyó que su hija era lesbiana porque le gustaban las mujeres, pero cuando la pequeña Chastity le confesó que se sentía un hombre interiormente y que había tomado la decisión de cambiar de sexo y empezar a llamarse Chaz Bono, Cher le respondió «no entiendo tu decisión… pero te apoyo».

Laisa Reyes se llamaba el personaje que el transexual Endry Cardeño interpretó en la novela colombiana «Los Reyes», con un cuerpo espectacular y una pícara actuación, este peluquero que creció en un barrio marginal pronto se convirtió en la reina de «Los Reyes», pero a pesar de la fama, confiesa que sigue lidiando con el rechazo social, como aquella vez que entró a un baño de mujeres y «una vieja gorda me reclamó y me dijo que ese no era mi lugar, yo le contesté que no se preocupe que yo hacía pipi sentada y que si me iba para el baño de hombres capaz que me violaban».

Y si bien, a pesar de los avances científicos que se dan en el campo de la sexualidad del ser humano y de los estudios del ADN, las historias de Renée, Roberta, Chaz y Laisa, no son historias excepcionales, sino más bien comunes, porque nos seguimos comportando como una sociedad reacia a aceptar, a tolerar y a vivir con naturalidad nuestras diferencias, especialmente cuando se trata de diferencias sexuales.

No sirve de mucho demostrar que la transexualidad es una condición más de las múltiples en las que se puede expresar o vivir el ser humano, aquellos que nacen en un cuerpo diferente al que sienten, siguen siendo víctimas de represión y violencia social, y en la mayoría de los países no se reconocen los derechos que tienen como ciudadanos, como el derecho que tienen al cambio de género en su cédula de identidad. Estadísticamente hablando la comunidad transexual sigue siendo la más explotada socialmente (prostitución) y la que menos acceso tiene en el mercado laboral.

Como ciudadanos nos queda de tarea entender que la identidad de género es un derecho, así como lo es la orientación sexual, un derecho básico que tenemos todos los seres humanos, a decidir quiénes somos, independientemente de cómo nos quiera clasificar o determinar la sociedad.

Un enano o una enana son a todas luces un hombre pequeño o una mujer pequeña que no tiene la culpa ni las ganas de medir 70 cms. de altura y a nadie se le ocurriría de sacarlos de un cine que esté pasando películas para mayores sólo por su estatura, pero…tratándose de sexo, materia sobre la cual nadie sabe nada, ni siquiera los sexólogos, todo el mundo se permite “legislar” de acuerdo a su ignorancia, religión, edad y cultura y condenar al diferente sexual con todo el peso de su estupidez, ignorancia y creencias y el aislamiento, las prohibiciones y las acusaciones por “faltas a la moral y las buenas costumbres” (que idiotez, me avergüenzo hasta de escribirlo) han abusado, han asesinado y marginado a millones de seres humanos totalmente normales simplemente por ignorantes.

Presidentes, asambleístas, curas, cardenales y Papas, pastores, humanistas, espiritualistas, congresistas, jueces, fiscales, médicos, filósofos y charlatanes todos, aún no responden por millones de asesinatos cometidos en el desempeño de sus funciones, las guerras, las persecuciones, los ajusticiamientos en nombre de un Dios que jamás ha mostrado la cara ni se ha apiadado de nadie, en nombre de una bandera con colores varios, en nombre de un derecho que no tiene sentido y por el bien de la humanidad (personal y familiar) se han cagado en los derechos fundamentales y se les ha nombrado en millonarias parafernalias, santos, héroes y benefactores a asesinos, ladrones y pervertidos, algunos con artísticos monumentos en los lugares más importantes del país reciben aún de imbéciles que no saben donde están parados, elogios como libertadores, otros igual o peores están por entrar al cerrado círculo de los inolvidables. A éstos, no es el pueblo quien los endiosa porque el pueblo, trabaja la tierra, la suda en la ciudad y se muere en las minas, levanta estatuas de sus héroes que generalmente han sido víctimas de la segregación, la envidia y la ignorancia.

La transexualidad, la homosexualidad, el lesbianismo, el color de la piel, y la condición social relativa a la educación o al nivel de vida son los resultados de accidentes naturales o abusos sociales.

Si usted está en un grupo que sufre una marginación por cualquier motivo, natural o social, con este gobierno puede terminarse si se une a otros que igualmente se los margina, NADIE, entienda bien, NADIE puede seguir marginándolo, únase a la lucha, grite, llore y pataleé por sus derechos, no se conforme con limosnas ni con falsas comprensiones y… si usted no sufre ninguna marginación, no permita que otros la sufran, únase por la igualdad, por la unidad para hacer grande a nuestra nación. Desprecie los cantos de sirenas de los que se sienten amenazados por la verdadera justicia, la que no se vende ni se interpreta según los dólares.
