Ecuador Trans

El Ecuador es uno de los pocos países del mundo donde los Derechos Humanos han sido considerados en toda su amplitud. La inclusión de la identidad de género desde el año 2008 desató las críticas y oposiciones del patriarcado y de los fundamentalistas de nuestro contexto.

Tras una serie de debates y muchas posturas en contra, el objetivo final se cumplió. La identidad de género que ampara a las trans, específicamente, fue incluido dentro de la actual Constitución ecuatoriana. Sin embargo, del
mandato al hecho no distan mayores rasgos de relevancia.

Esto se ve en el incremento de violaciones a los Derechos Humanos que vivimos las personas trans. Indiscutiblemente el estado ecuatoriano y su Gobierno tienen una apertura hacia la inclusión social. En este marco, los ministerios e instituciones públicas acostumbran a aterrizar la Constitución
en reformulaciones de sus leyes internas, hasta que ellos consideren pertinente.

Mientras tanto, el mandato no se cumple. Y lo evidenciamos en la falta de acceso a la salud, el empleo, la seguridad, las leyes, la identidad, la vivienda, etc. Estos son algunos de los ejemplos de las inequidades. Pese a que las
trans pagamos impuestos y contribuimos al desarrollo del país, no tenemos acceso a las necesidades básicas que el ciudadano común tiene, por el simple hecho de ser trans.

En Ecuador, ser trans es no tener credibilidad. La realidad trans en el país es un paradigma de los aspectos que no han progresado. Un aspecto de ello son las sociedades civiles como la Asociación Silueta X, que buscan la inclusión
social de su colectivo, pero que no son apoyadas por las instituciones oficiales.
Nuestro colectivo busca que se cumplan los beneficios sociales, tal y como lo indica la Carta Magna. En los papeles este conjunto de leyes por fin ha logrado que seamos incluidas y respetadas, sin ser ridiculizadas; pero a pesar de
todo esto, esta obligación no es llevada a la práctica.

Trans Ecuador

Ecuador is one of the few countries where human rights have been considered in all its breadth. The inclusion of gender identity since 2008 sparked criticism and opposition of patriarchy and the fundamentalists in our context.

After a series of debates and many positions against the ultimate goal was met. Gender identity that protects the trans, specifically, was included within the current Ecuadorian Constitution.However, the no mandate to actually far more important traits.

This is in increasing human rights violations that trans people live.Arguably the Ecuadorian state and its government have an opening towards social inclusion. In this context, the ministries and public institutions tend to land the Constitution in restatements of its domestic laws, until they see fit.

Meanwhile, the mandate is not met. And we show a lack of access to health, employment, safety, laws, identity, housing, etc..Here are some examples of inequities. Although the trans pay taxes and contribute to national development, we have no access to basic needs that the ordinary citizen, by the mere fact of being trans.

In Ecuador, being trans is not credible. The trans in the country really is a paradigm of the aspects that have not progressed. One aspect of this is the civil societies as Silueta X Association, seeking the inclusion their social group, but are not supported by official institutions.

Our group seeks to meet the social benefits, as indicated by the Constitution. On paper this body of law has finally we are included and respected, without being ridiculed, but despite this, this obligation is not put into practice.
